I hope I did everything right and this blog works as advertised. There have been quite a few changes in my life over the last couple of years: empty-nester, new job, husband retired (again!), husband applied for a new USAF Program for retired pilots and was accepted, etc. As with all change some of these have been good for me, even if they were a bit of a trial at first, and some have resulted in a lot of stress.
I've had a good relationship with my computer over the years and have become even more comfortable in the "web-world" due to the influence of my very tech-minded children (ages 27 and 25). I consider myself an educated (master's degree plus), open minded, well-read woman with a lot of life behind me and 20 or 30 years (hopefully!) left in front of me. My kids consider me opinionated and pushy. So I figured with all that going for me it was time to try a blog.
My grammar and spelling may not be school perfect but I will try to be honest and entertaining. I've been told that people reading these blogs can be mean and insulting and I need to have a tough skin. I figured that since I used to work as a counselor in an inner school district of a big city I can handle most anything without taking it personally. I would appreciate constructive criticism and I always value other peoples opinions and points of view.
That's it for today. Nothing earth-shattering or really even noteworthy BUT a beginning.
